Received the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of research and innovations both in the upstream and downstream sectors that have played a pivotal role in improving the quality, productivity and sustainability of the oil palm.
Knight of the International Order of Merit Of Inventors
The International Order of Merit of the Inventors – IOMI is an international civil decoration that is awarded to an individual for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding invention activity, services, and achievements. The Knight must be an inventor who has a minimum of ten patented inventions or has an invention that has been awarded a minimum of three international invention forums. IOMI was established by the President of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations on 15th January 2008.
Intel Environment Laureate at The Tech Museum Awards, USA (United Nations Millennium Project)

Rotary Gold Award Winner for Excellence in Scientific Research
The Rotary Gold Award is bestowed to an individual in recognition of outstanding research and development (R&D) contribution in any discipline of Arts, Culture, Science, Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Technology and Social Science. Founded in 1982, it was established to promote and recognise worthwhile research efforts carried out in the country.

This award was given to the best of the best innovations in the country over the previous five years. The Oil Palm Phenolics project was one of the top twenty innovations recognised by MOSTI for consideration in this prestigious event graced by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
